Mavs vs. Heat

Well the Mavs beat the Suns tonight to finish them 4-2. After coming back from an 18 point deficet. Steve Nash didn't show to be a TWO time MVP in this game turning the ball over at the end and not taking the game over scoring wise when his team needed him too. Pretty good choke job by the Suns in this game.

The Mavericks won both games they played against the Heat this year. Shaq didn't play in one of the games. It really doesn't matter though the Heat are a team made for the playoffs. I believe Detroit had won 3 or the 4 games played during the regular season against Miami and we know what happened their. This should be a really exciting series.

Mavs have no big men that can stop Shaq or D Wade in my opinion and the Heat have nobody that can hang with Nowitzki. The Mavs will need Stackhouse or Terry to step up and be that second guy to score points for the Mavs. I will have more on this series in the next few days.

Flip Saunders

Question is will he be back with the Pistons next year? They got rid of a great coach Rick Carlile for Larry Brown who says they won't get rid of him for somebody else. Flip Saunders is a great coach during the season but when it comes playoff time it's a whole different ball game and he get out coached. His record in the playoffs is 27-38 and you could see this Pistons team fall apart in the playoffs and he couldn't keep this team together. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't their next season.

Heat Conference Final Champions

The Miami Heat are heading to the NBA Finals after defeating the Detroit Pistons 4-2 after beating them in game 6; 95-78. Shaq led the way with 28 pts 16 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Dwayne Wade only had 14 points but a huge 10 assists getting his other teammates such as Jason Williams who was the MVP in game six in my opinion going 10 for 11 from the field scoring 21 points. They will now wait for the winner of the Suns-Mavericks series.

As for the Detroit Pistons it all comes down to not making shots they shot 33.3% from the field in game six and your not gonna beat a college basketball team shooting that percentage. If they don't have Rip Hamilton in this game they get blown out. He ends the game with 33 points only two other guys scored in double digits and both only scored 10 points (R.Wallace, Prince). It will be interesting to see what happens with this team during the off season. Anything less then a championship for these guys the felt was a failure.
